From border security to the economy to restoring common sense in American government, President Trump’s first 100 days in office can best be described in four words: promises made, promises kept.

This week, we mark the first 100 days of President Trump’s second term, and so far, the results have been incredible.

Since his first day in office, President Trump has worked to secure our borders and stop the endless flow of illegal aliens through our nation’s borders. Under President Biden, encounters of illegal immigrants at our Southwest border exceeded 10 million, and the illegal immigrant population in the United States grew by 28.2%.

Under President Trump, our borders are effectively closed. With single-day border apprehensions at a 15-year low, and March numbers showing the most secure border in history, President Trump has delivered on his promise to secure our borders.

President Trump is also making good on his promise to revive the economy and make America affordable again. Just after his inauguration, President Trump ordered government agencies to deliver emergency price relief for American families. Since then, we’ve seen cooling inflation and falling consumer prices.

While Tim Walz and Keith Ellison attempt to fight President Trump in the courts to allow biological men to compete in women’s sports, President Trump has taken common sense action to protect women and girls’ sports. In early February, he signed an executive order banning men from competing in women’s sports and restricting federal funds to education programs that refuse to comply with the order.

Furthermore, by rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in our government – President Trump is putting Americans and American taxpayers first. In just 100 days, President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency has saved taxpayers an estimated $160,000,000,000 equating to nearly $1,000 per American taxpayer.

This is what real, effective leadership looks like. By securing our border, bringing down prices, and restoring common sense in our government, President Trump is keeping his promises to the people of Minnesota.
