I’ve been traveling all across New York, holding town halls and listening to concerns from people. What’s clear is that this isn’t just politics anymore. It’s a battle between what’s right and wrong.

The energy that Trump is bringing in is destructive and it is cruel. It is feeding on all of our pain and anxieties.

So we can argue left, right, center all day long – but politics as we know it won’t get us out of this moment. We need moral leadership. We need leaders who can articulate a vision for the future based on love, a vision that inspires us to take care of our neighbors.

That is what this moment is fundamentally about.

But we need to keep pushing.
