According to them, our team is still $8,419 short of meeting our online End of Month Fundraising Goal.
Before I ask you to help my team and I close the gap with a donation of any amount you can spare, I want to explain why this goal is so important:
I'll be the first one to say that serving South Florida for over thirty years has been the honor of a lifetime, and I'm so proud of the accomplishments we've made in fighting for reproductive freedom, for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and for the safety of our community.
But the fight is far from over. The Trump Administration has made it clear that whether it's Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, or the US Department of Education, they'll continue to gut funding for whatever they can in order to give their wealthiest donors a tax break — even at the expense of everyday Americans.
And I know that because I've built a strong reputation for standing up for our needs against MAGA Republicans, they're working their hardest to take my seat and replace me with another one of Trump's yes men.
John, we've got to work together to ensure that I can continue to be a loud voice for South Florida against this dangerous administration.
