We’re hearing a final budget deal has been reached - and once again, the budget is poised to leave the child care workforce behind. No permanent wage funding. No real plan to stabilize a system in crisis.
But it’s not over yet. Legislators are still finalizing the bills that will shape our state budget for the year ahead, and they need to hear from you now. Without a permanent workforce fund, they will be choosing to keep early educators and working families in crisis - forcing those who provide critical care, learning, and development to our kids, into poverty, while families across New York are left without reliable options. This is the workforce that makes all other work possible.
Email your legislators now and demand they stop balancing the budget on the backs of women of color.
