Hi there, it’s Devon Murphy-Anderson, the new Executive Director of the Maine Dems. I wanted to drop you a line for two reasons:

1️⃣ — I haven’t gotten a chance to introduce myself to you yet! I’m a Mainer through and through — I grew up on my dad’s lobster boat in Casco Bay. I've been working in politics for years now to help empower and protect communities like mine, and now I’m excited about bringing my passion home – where my heart has always been.

I’ve already been busy even though it’s only been a few weeks! One of my first priorities was to build out our Down Ballot Victory program to recruit candidates from the community, build volunteer excitement, and grow long-term Democratic power in every corner of our state– no matter how rural or how red. There’s so much work to do, and I’m rolling up my sleeves!

2️⃣ — We have our end-of-month fundraising deadline on Wednesday at midnight and we’re hoping to hit our EOM digital fundraising goal of $10,000 before then so that we can hire two boots-on-the-ground Field Organizers for the Down Ballot Victory program. Not only will those dollars go towards ensuring we keep control of the State House (that we won by just 60 votes across 3 races last year), but they will also help us drive turnout for our U.S. Senate and Gubernatorial races from the bottom up.
