Ayan*, Hamdan’s mother, describes their devastating situation. “[My children] cannot get the milk they used to drink. Water is very scarce here. The drought has affected everyone.”
Without enough food, Hamdan became dangerously sick and developed pneumonia. Ayan rushed him to a Save the Children health center, where he received lifesaving treatment.
