Stein Celebrates Solar Manufacturer Opening

Last week, Governor Josh Stein celebrated the opening of a new solar module manufacturing plant, bringing 900 new jobs to our state.

A trailblazer in politics, he made history in 2006 as the youngest African American elected official in the nation at just 22 years old. A passionate advocate for equity and justice, Bakari has spent his career uplifting underrepresented voices and advancing progressive causes. Beyond being a CNN political analyst, he is the author of the New York Times bestseller My Vanishing Country. His newest project, the children’s book Who Are Your People?, was inspired by his twins, Sadie and Stokely, and aims to instill pride and historical awareness in young Black readers.
