My role as your representative is to work for you, listen to your concerns, and stand up against the Republican Rip-Off. This month, I met with Snohomish County leaders to discuss Northwest Washington's transportation needs.

As the lead Democrat on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am beginning work to reauthorize federal surface transportation programs. I am proud to have brought $386 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to the 2nd District to revitalize our community and create jobs. Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, every day is infrastructure day in Snohomish County. My meeting with Snohomish County leaders will help guide our work for the 2026-2031 transportation budget.

The Energy and Commerce Committee has jurisdiction over the Medicaid program, and they have been tasked with making $880 billion in budget cuts over 10 years.

Many of our friends and neighbors in Northwest Washington rely on Medicaid for health care access, and I am concerned about how these cuts are going to impact our community. Please continue to send personal stories to my office, so I can continue to advocate and fight for the program.
