To my fellow UNICEF supporter,

This year, I’m turning 50 — a milestone that has me reflecting on my life, the opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have and the experiences that have shaped me. Some of the moments I’m most proud of have come through my work with UNICEF. Meeting children whose strength and resilience, even in the most unimaginable circumstances, inspires me every day.

That’s why, for my 50th birthday, I’m launching a special fundraiser to help UNICEF continue to deliver lifesaving aid and support to children.

Your past support has helped deliver crucial resources to those facing malnutrition, conflict and displacement and has kept children safe and in school. Right now, too many children around the world continue to face the toughest challenges of their lives, and they still need us.

In my 20 years as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, I have witnessed UNICEF's work in action. Here are some of the moments that have shaped my ongoing commitment to UNICEF:

Ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) for children facing severe malnutrition
Access to safe water and health care in crisis zones
Safe spaces for children uprooted by conflict
Education to keep girls in school and protect them from exploitation and violence
