I’m Texas Representative Jessica Gonzalez, and I am personally reaching out to voters across the state who are pumped and ready to flip the Texas House BLUE in November. We need your voice, and we need your help to finally take back the House and draw fair maps.

We need a pro-equality majority in the Texas House that will fight for my top priority to pass a comprehensive nondiscrimination bill through the Texas House of Representatives for the first time in Texas history. This bill would extend nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people in employment, housing, and public accommodations. Many Texans are not aware that LGBTQ people can legally be fired, refused housing, or denied services simply because of who we are. This is unkind, unfair, inequitable, and unacceptable.

We need a pro-equality majority that will fight to protect black lives and who will take a stand to end the violent racism experienced by our Black brothers and sisters. A pro-equality majority to expand access to healthcare, reform our criminal justice system, protect voting rights, and fight for affordable housing. We have made progress, but there is still so much work to do. It is CRITICAL that we take back the House in November.

Our Democratic values of fairness and equality are under attack in Texas, and we can’t just sit back and watch. Here at Fair and Square, we are committed to winning -- and we hope you will be a part of our movement.
