The Osage Water District of Osage, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting at 5:30pm on May 15, 2025, in meeting room #1 at Kitty Moats Complex, 551 Metz St. Osage, WY 82723. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the Osage water main replacement on McGrew St., Metz St. and North Park St. The water mains on those streets listed above are failing and have orange burg pipe in them and need to be replaced to ensure safe drinking water and a healthy environment for our citizens.
At the meeting the Osage Water District will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Kitty Moats Complex. Please contact Janice Heard at 307-465-2407.
Based on current cost estimates, the Osage Water District plans to borrow $1,500,00.00 for the water main replacements from the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming State Lands and Investment Board at an interest rate of 1%. User fees of $72.00 per user will be used to repay the loan.
