The Town of Dayton, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:00pm, local time, on May 14th, 2025, in the Town Council Chambers, 608 Broadway, Dayton, WY. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project. Town of Dayton – Lead Service Line Investigation Equipment Purchasing.
At the meeting, the Town of Dayton will present the scope of the lead service line project and will discuss the estimated cost of the equipment and the plan for funding the equipment. Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Dayton plans to borrow $140,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Sheridan County Special Purpose Tax (a/k/a Capital Facilities Tax) and/or water user fees will repay the loan; there is no expected change to user rates. It is anticipated that there will be a 50% to 75% principal forgiveness for the loan. Loan terms will be 0.0% interest rate and 20 to 30 years, depending on the useful life of the equipment purchased.
