Dear John,

The White House has issued several Executive Orders (EOs) that propose changes impacting permanent residents, Temporary Protective Status (TPS) holders, humanitarian parolees, and undocumented immigrants. Some of these EOs and regulations will not take effect immediately, while others are already being challenged in court. CUNY Citizenship Now! ([link removed]) is helping keep our community informed during this time of rapid change.

Understanding your rights is more important than ever. As part of our Light the Way BK series, my office is hosting a Know Your Rights on Immigration workshop on Zoom on Tuesday, April 29th, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. RSVP here ([link removed]) to receive the Zoom link. Special thanks to CUNY Citizenship Now! for facilitating, and to our partners—Assembly Member Jo Anne Simon, State Senator Andrew Gounardes, Prospect Park Alliance, Fifth Avenue Committee, and Carroll Gardens Association—for co-hosting this important event.
