John,
Speaker Mike Johnson and Donald Trump want to pass this billionaire budget by Memorial Day.
Their plan? Shower billionaires and massive corporations with $5.3 trillion in tax breaks while slashing at least $880 billion from Medicaid, $230 billion from the food assistance program SNAP, and untold billions from other vital public services. These are services that keep millions of Americans alive, including children, seniors, people with disabilities.[1]
Don’t let their spin fool you. This isn’t about paying for a “middle-class tax cut” or “balancing the budget,” it’s about entrenching billionaire power and punishing the rest of us. This budget creates new tax giveaways for the ultra-rich, explodes the deficit, and pushes millions closer to poverty—all so America’s wealthiest elites can hoard more.
Congress is back in session this Monday. That means the budget markup process begins immediately. We have just four weeks to stop this disaster and the clock starts right now.
Tell Congress: REJECT this Billionaire Budget and protect Medicaid, SNAP, and working families.
Mike Johnson barely squeaked the budget resolution through the House.[2] Why? Because even his own caucus knows how toxic it is. Moderates fear the backlash. Meanwhile, hardliners want even deeper cuts. And every member of Congress knows exactly who this budget serves: billionaires who already bankroll our elections and are now buying policy to match.
The good news? We can stop this. With enough public pressure, we can fracture their coalition, slow the process, and block this budget from becoming law. But that won’t happen unless we speak out, in huge numbers, starting today.
We know this playbook. They pass tax cuts for the rich, then cry deficit crisis and slash our healthcare, our schools, other bedrock services. We’ve beaten these scams before and we can do it again.
With only four weeks left, every voice counts. Tell Congress to ditch Johnson’s billionaire budget.
Let’s keep working to ensure our tax code works for working families.

John,
Mike Johnson and Donald Trump are rushing to get their billionaire budget done before anyone can stop them: they want it signed, sealed, and delivered by Memorial Day.
This budget is a full-on heist. It proposes up to $5.3 trillion in tax cuts, mostly for the wealthiest Americans and giant corporations, while ripping $880 billion out of Medicaid and other critical programs. [1]
Johnson wants to jam it through using the reconciliation process, a backdoor maneuver that shuts out opposition and fast-tracks this billionaire bonanza straight to Trump’s desk.
We potentially have just four weeks to stop this billionaire bailout before it’s a done deal. Congress is drafting the details now and House Republicans plan to mark up their bill next week. Your voice can pressure lawmakers to reject this scam.
Help protect the public services millions rely on. Tell Congress: VOTE NO on Mike Johnson’s Billionaire Budget!
This budget is a roadmap to a dystopian America: one where billionaires keep getting richer, Medicaid gets gutted, and working families are left with nothing but crumbs.
Even the GOP’s own voters are turning against this scam, with 56% of Trump voters saying corporations don’t pay their fair share of taxes.[2] Johnson’s plan ignores this, serving wealthy donors over constituents.
The bottom line is that we’ve seen this game before: tax cuts for the rich, austerity for the rest. They jack up the deficit with giveaways to CEOs and wealthy shareholders, then demand brutal cuts to food assistance, healthcare, and other public services to "balance the budget." It’s a cynical con and we can’t let them get away with it.
This is about values. Do we want a government that works for the people, or one that serves only the billionaire class? If we don’t speak up now, Johnson and Trump will turn the country into a playground for the ultra-rich and a barren landscape for everyone else.
Congress needs to hear from you now. Tell them to reject Mike Johnson’s billionaire budget and demand a fair tax system where the rich pay their share.
Thank you for protecting working families from this cruel scam.
