Team,

For native tribes, economic development is critical to establishing tribal sovereignty. But according to tribal leaders, a new rule proposed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau would illegally infringe on self-determination in tribal governments:

Since they do not have a tax base, tribes rely heavily on economic development. Those tribes were not consulted on this new regulation, which has deepened the divide between tribal governments, state governments, and the federal government.

Groundwork Project supports legislation and policies that encourage both communication and collaboration, as well as the freedom for tribes to self-determine.

With so many oppressive policies coming out of Oklahoma, it's time to take a stand. Will you support Groundwork and our work to organize in Oklahoma as we approach our end-of-month deadline? [[link removed]]
