As the world mourns Pope Francis, we were reminded this week of the urgency to continue to tackle the climate crisis and to be good stewards of God’s Creation and to always honor the spark of divinity in the least of our brethren – championing the poor, the worker, the refugee and the immigrant.

As Democrats, we do so by staying true to and fighting for our values, For The People.

John, I wanted to send you a this note today to remind you of how important YOU – our VIPs, our Volunteers in Politics – are to our fight to build a better world and future For The Children – and I wanted to thank you for all you do in the pursuit of our urgent fight for our values and for our freedoms.

Democrats are unified in our fight to save our health care, to preserve the right to due process for everyone in our country, and to push back against cuts would rip away health care from millions and would keep countless Americans from accessing lifesaving care or receiving benefits that they have paid into – including Social Security, which is their own money.

We are united around fundamental rights and our shared values and we will Save Our Health Care and Take Back The House – because we have YOU.

You have the power to do this. Show your power and continue to speak out and to support our House Democrats and Democratic candidates who will FLIP the House and make Hakeem Jeffries our next Speaker of the House in the next election.

As long as we stay focused on what and who we are fighting for, and as long as we stay united in our cause, we will persevere and come out on the other side a more free and just nation that is worthy of the dreams and aspirations of our children and of the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.
