Contact Me Here Condemning NY AG James' Failure to Comply with Federal Orders to Protect Girls' Sports and End Woke Gender Curriculum in Schools By promoting radical gender ideology and allowing biological males to compete in girls' sports, New York's Attorney General Letitia James and New York State Education Department Commissioner Betty Rosa are jeopardizing the safety of children across New York. This week, I sent a letter to the NY Attorney General and Commissioner condemning their failure to comply with President Trump's recent Executive Orders. These orders ban biological males from participating in women's sports and aim to put an end to the woke gender ideologies that have dominated our nation's classrooms. Their refusal to comply with common-sense federal orders that protect girls' athletics and prohibit the teaching of woke gender ideologies to young children puts New York students at risk of losing critical federal funding. I stand with President Trump in his efforts to dismantle the Left's woke agenda that has infiltrated our schools and put an end to the indoctrination of students with these fringe gender mutilation ideologies. Read the full text of the letter here Holding Disgraced Governor Cuomo Accountable Disgraced former Governor Cuomo can no longer escape accountability now that Republicans control Congress and the White House. This week, we took decisive action to ensure he is held responsible for his deadly nursing home directive, which led to the untimely deaths of over 15,000 nursing home residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, the White House revamped the COVID.GOV website to reveal the truth about the origins of COVID-19 and expose the deadly propaganda pushed by the Left Wing Media throughout the pandemic. One of the key points the website emphasizes is former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's March 25 order, referring to it as "medical malpractice." It highlights evidence that Cuomo and his administration attempted to conceal the tragic consequences of the Nursing Home Directive in an effort to avoid accountability. Additionally, the House Oversight Committee is re-upping a criminal referral for Governor Cuomo after it was revealed he intentionally lied to Congress to cover up the COVID-19 nursing home tragedy. Lying to Congress is a federal crime, and Cuomo must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. With every day that passes, we are moving one step closer to justice for thousands of New Yorkers and their families. As your representative in Congress, my top priority is championing legislative initiatives that benefit you and your families. Each week, I review numerous bills and letters, engaging in thorough discussions with members of our community to determine which actions to support and address your needs. Below are a few bills I recently cosponsored. H.R.2783, the Infrastructure Project Acceleration Act: This bill will streamline environmental reviews for infrastructure projects dealing with duplicative state and federal regulations. Specifically, this bill allows infrastructure projects to opt out of federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reviews in states like New York, where state environmental regulations are stricter than those of the NEPA. This bill will help expedite investments in New York State and lower the duplicative regulatory burdens on these projects. H.R. 803, the Sergeant Gary Beikirch Medal of Honor Act: This bill would allow a surviving spouse of a Medal of Honor recipient to receive a special pension simultaneously with dependency compensation. No Medal of Honor recipient should have to worry about their spouse’s income after they pass. This bill will provide peace of mind to our Medal of Honor recipients and ensure their spouses will always have financial security. H.R. 2452, the Keep Our Girls Safe Act: This bill prohibits locker rooms from being used by individuals of multiple biological sexes at the same time. The Biden administrations’ radical pro-gender mutilation policies required schools to allow biological men in women’s locker rooms, putting our children at risk. This bill will ensure that biological men are never allowed to use a women’s locker room while biological women are using that space. Celebrating Orleans County's Bicentennial Recently, our team joined state and local leaders in presenting a proclamation celebrating Orleans County's bicentennial! Home to the scenic shorelines of Lake Ontario, world-class sports fishing, and thriving agricultural and small business communities, I am humbled to represent this great county in Congress. I wish every resident of Orleans another fantastic 200 years! Best Wishes to Rick House Wayne County Administrator Rick House recently retired after an amazing 44-year career serving Wayne County. He started his career in law enforcement as a police officer in Clyde in 1980 before joining the sheriff’s office and moving up the ranks to undersheriff. He then ended his career in public service as County Administrator. We are indebted to Rick for his commitment to our community and wish him all the best in his retirement. Constituent Casework Success Story A Veteran from Jefferson County was struggling to get the dental care he needed through the VA and Community Care, facing both severe pain and frustrating red tape. My office stepped in and worked with the VA to ensure he received the treatment he deserved and that communication was restored between the VA, his Community Care provider, and the Veteran himself. “Your Oswego office called the Community Care office in Syracuse and got everything squared away and your office was much help to me and I appreciate it very much.” Need Help with a Federal Agency?
