Serengeti.

John,

We’ve told their story before: in the legendary Serengeti, almost a
quarter of the elephants live in a tiny area protected by a team of just a
half dozen specially-trained rescue dogs and their handlers.

They sniff out poachers and sound the alarm – the dogs have helped put
hundreds of poachers out of business already, saving countless elephants
being murdered for ivory.

But there’s a new foe these dogs can’t handle alone: Donald Trump.

Trump’s dramatic and probably illegal cuts to aid have slashed the budget
of hundreds of NGOs, including Working Dogs for Conservation, a group
whose work our community has supported twice already.

Five of their programs have already been halted and seven more, including
critical anti-poaching efforts, are in jeopardy. They’re doing everything
they can - streamlining costs and focusing resources where they’re most
needed. But without additional support, more projects will be delayed or
even shuttered completely.

In the face of Trump and Elon Musk, these dogs and their trainers need
someone to stand up for them – and for conservation. That can be us – can
you chip in to support these rescue dogs working for nature…and all our
battles against Trump?

The Trump administration has already terminated more than 5300 grants and
contracts managed by the US Agency for International Development, worth
more than $27 billion, and the threat of further cuts has NGOs around the
world tightening up operations.

There’s almost no sector unaffected. And Ekō’s going to work to find a way
to help more of the victims of Trump’s cuts.

But when we heard that Working Dogs for Conservation was in trouble, we
wanted to jump in and give our entire community a chance to help – because
literally thousands of us have already supported their work over the last
few years, and now they need us again.

John, can you help keep this amazing organization working
through Trump and Musk’s cuts, and fuel Ekō’s work to take on Trump…in
every way possible?
