When I first won this seat in 2018, it was historic—the first time any Democrat had ever been elected to represent WA-08.

Since then, every election has been a tough fight. But with your support, we've managed to come out on top each time, and we've done it because we’ve served this district well and our campaign makes sure the district knows it.

But as we speak, the GOP is laying the groundwork and recruiting candidates to try to hold their majority and flip even more blue seats red. This district has always been competitive, and the only way we stay ahead is to be prepared. But campaigns aren't won in the final week before Election Day—they're built up over the entire cycle, with relentless work, strategy, and the resources to match.

Here's what I'll say, john: This cycle might just be the most crucial one yet. When I ran in 2018 the Trump administration was dangerous. This time, it is out of control, breaking laws and norms every day that impact each and every one of us. As a doctor, I’m fighting RFK Jr.’s anti-vax, anti-science policies and the gutting of agencies that protect us and keep us at the forefront of innovation, like the FDA and NIH. We have a real shot at flipping the House and putting a check on this administration, but only if we can hold true purple districts like ours. I want to be clear—this isn't something I can do without strong support from this grassroots team.
