The skyrocketing costs of homeownership and renting have placed serious strains on the American people.

Some of the barriers to affordable housing come from strict zoning and land use restrictions that make it difficult and pricey to build new developments to address housing needs.

To address these barriers to home ownership, I’ve introduced my first bill as Senator, the Housing Supply Frameworks Act!

This bill will help localities bring together developers, affordable housing advocates, and other stakeholders to design new zoning and land use guidelines that meet their community’s needs.

My bill has already been endorsed by more than 140 organizations, including the National Low Income Housing Coalition and Delaware State Housing Authority. I hope that it will have your support too!
