Friends,

April has flown by — time really does fly when you’re having fun and getting things done. I’m grateful for all the opportunities this month to connect with so many of you, and I’m looking forward to even more in the weeks ahead.

Next week, I’ll be hosting a Tele-Town Hall to give you updates from Washington and hear your thoughts directly. I would love to have y’all join the conversation — more details are included below. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to my office. We’re here to help.

Sincerely,

Upcoming Tele-Town Hall

On April 30th from 6:00 to 6:45 PM CST (7:00 to 7:45 PM ET) I’ll be hosting a Tele-Town Hall to hear directly from y’all and discuss President Trump’s first 100 days back in office. We’ll cover the progress being made to secure the border, rebuild American energy dominance, and get our country back on the right track. Hearing from y’all is critical to my work in Congress, and I look forward to this conversation.

Meeting With Crosby High School Students

Image

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of visiting with students at Crosby High School. We had a great conversation about the mindset needed to succeed in SEAL training and the importance of grit, perseverance, and staying committed to Plan A. While flexibility and adaptability are important, true success comes from believing in yourself and refusing to give up. Failure is part of the journey — quitting is a choice.

While there, I also had the honor of meeting with members of Crosby High School’s JROTC — an outstanding group of young leaders. It was truly inspiring to spend time with the students at Crosby High, and I’m more confident than ever that their futures are incredibly bright.

Protecting the Health of First Responders

I helped introduce the Public Safety Officer Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury Health Act—a bipartisan effort to better protect the health of our first responders. This bill directs the CDC to collect more detailed information on brain injuries sustained by law enforcement and public safety officers, and to create clear clinical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. Our first responders face serious risks every day, and we must recognize and address the hidden injuries they suffer. This legislation ensures they receive the same level of care and attention we provide to our military and athletes.

Healthcare Roundtable
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to sit down with healthcare leaders from across our district at a roundtable hosted by The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership. We had a productive conversation about the future of healthcare innovation, the challenges facing our hospitals, and the critical role policy plays in protecting access to care. I shared updates on my work in Congress to defend Texas' Medicaid system, modernize FDA regulations for new therapies, and push for real transparency in the prescription drug market. The future of healthcare depends on collaboration, innovation, and strong leadership—and I’m proud to be fighting for that every day.
