I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Democracy is a two way street. I don’t want to preserve the status quo. I want a renewed, thriving democracy that involves ALL of us — that starts with leaders who will hold themselves accountable to the people they represent. And it also starts with people who are willing to use their voices to hold those leaders’ feet to the fire.
That’s why I’ve been traveling up and down New York holding Community Town Halls, most recently in Poughkeepsie.
Let me tell you, when New Yorkers show up, we SHOW UP.

I received thoughtful questions from the audience about healthcare, housing, the cost of living crisis – and how we show up to defend our democracy during times like these.
I’m honored to be part of facilitating grassroots conversations like these because they are exactly how we chart our path forward. I’m holding more Town Halls in the months and weeks ahead, because New Yorkers need to know that they have an advocate in state government.
But I need to hear from you too.
Can you take my short priorities survey, to let me know what issues are most important to you?
