Hey folks, it’s John.
This might not be popular, but it’s true: Banning trans Americans from serving in the military is bullsh*t.
This isn't about being “woke.” It’s about being decent. It’s about respecting every person who courageously steps up to serve our country – *including* folks in the LGBTQ+ community.
I’m unapologetically pro-military. I’m also unapologetically pro-LGBTQ+. Those two things are NOT in conflict: Our military is stronger when it honors the dignity of all its members.
But Trump doesn’t get that. His ban on trans military service is hateful, dangerous to our national security, and flat-out wrong. So I’m calling him out – he needs to rescind it right away.
