Social Security is facing the greatest threat of its nearly century-long existence. But we are fighting back and it is working!

Yesterday, thousands of people took the streets and rallied in front of their local Social Security offices, demanding that they remain open. It was a show of force that captured the attention of the mainstream media. Watch Rachel Maddow’s coverage, then chip in $7 to keep up the pressure!

Our allies in Congress sent a letter to Elon Musk’s hand-picked Acting Social Security Commissioner Leland Dudek demanding that they commit to keeping our Social Security offices open. And activists in communities around the country rallied at their Social Security offices and delivered that letter to the field staff to let them know that we’re on their side.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump have already fired more than 7,000 Social Security staffers. And the ones who remain are spending more time helping to correct people erroneously declared dead by DOGE algorithms.

Let’s not lose sight of Trump and Musk’s true goal: Debasing and destroying our Social Security system, and leaving seniors destitute, while slashing taxes for billionaires like themselves.

The people are with us. And we will win.
