Over the past week, I've been touched by the generous support
we've received. It's amazing to see our community come together, and I
hope you will join others today to make an even bigger impact.

While we've made great progress in the fight, there is still a
stigma surrounding this disease. Many feel misunderstood, isolated and
lonely. The Alzheimer's Association remains committed to addressing
myths and misconceptions to ensure more people do not delay visiting
the doctor during a time when an early diagnosis could mean qualifying
for treatments.

Stigma also impacts Alzheimer's research. A lack of awareness
results in lower government funds, even though the cost of caring for
Alzheimer's is higher than many other diseases. In fact, in 2024,
caregivers provided more than 18 billion hours of care estimated to
value nearly $347 billion.

Many caregivers rely on Association care and support
resources, not just during times of crisis, but every day. YOU can
ensure we are there 24/7 whenever someone needs us.
