 On Wednesday, Governor Walz delivered the 2025 State of the State address.
"Tonight, with the state of our state as strong as it’s ever been, we gather to write the next chapter in our great Minnesota story," said Governor Walz.

 This month, Governor Walz celebrated three business expansion projects across the state. On April 10, Governor Walz visited Philips Image Guided Therapy to celebrate their $31 million expansion in Plymouth. On April 11, Governor Walz broke ground on Sofidel's $200 million expansion in Duluth. On April 14, Governor Walz got an update on the progress of Mayo Clinic's $5 billion expansion in Rochester.
"We’re not just one of the nation’s best states in which to start a business – we’re proving to be one of America’s most popular states in which to grow a business," said Governor Walz. "Just look at Philips, or Solventum, or Sofidel, or the Mayo Clinic – investing billions to create thousands of new jobs right here in Minnesota."
