Fellow Conservative,

Congress will return on Monday with what might seem like a fairly light week legislatively as the House plans on voting to repeal several Biden-era EPA regulations and the Senate is set to confirm President Trump’s nominee for Ambassador to China.

However, intense behind-the-scenes negotiations regarding budget reconciliation are ongoing, with the tentative plan for a final vote towards the end of May. As a result, the following few weeks may shape up to be some of the most consequential work of the entire Trump presidency.
A Crucial Piece of the Trump Agenda
Ensuring Congress passes a conservative budget reconciliation package is critical to the Trump agenda. If they fail, we will lose out on a once in a generation opportunity to cut taxes, slash wasteful spending, rein in the Deep State, and get America back on the right track.

Prior to the Easter break, the House and Senate reached an agreement on the budget resolution framework, which is the first step in the reconciliation process <[link removed]>. Now, the hard work begins. Each chamber will instruct their individual committees to develop legislative solutions within their respective jurisdictions in order to achieve the goals outlined in the budget resolution.
Unfortunately, Democrats and the Washington Establishment will be fighting to the bitter end. Given the narrow margins in both chambers, all it takes is a few Republicans to cave to the pressure for Trump’s agenda to fail. That’s why Heritage Action has created a one-stop toolkit <[link removed]> for both first-time and seasoned activists to hold Congress accountable and ensure they deliver on President Trump’s policies.

Remember, this is not a fight we can afford to lose. Please share this email with like minded conservatives and help us get the word out.
The First 100 Days of the American Golden Age
President Trump returned to the White House just under 100 days ago, and America is finally on the road to recovery. Four years of the previous administration left us in a perilous position both domestically and internationally. Yet, even after such a short period of time, you can sense that America is back.

Needless to say, it’s imperative that we make sure that a future president can’t take us backwards like the Biden administration did. Codifying President Trump’s executive orders is a good place for congressional Republicans to start.

Executive Vice President Ryan Walker sat down with the Daily Caller to discuss how Heritage Action has been involved in this process to help sustain President Trump’s legacy. From the all-important Dismantle DEI Act, safeguarding women’s supports, ensuring ONLY Americans vote in elections, to many more issues, Heritage Action has been a key driver to instigating the permanence of these policies.

Ending Foreign Funding in Elections
Across the country, states are closing loopholes that allow foreign nationals to tip the balance of state initiatives. This is a huge win for the integrity of our voting system — foreign interests influencing our elections is not just a hypothetical problem.

Although it is already illegal for foreign nationals to contribute directly to candidates, there is a glaring loophole that has been exploited for years by radical left-wing activists.

In just one example, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has given over $245 million <[link removed]> to the New Venture Fund and the Sixteen Thirty Fund since 2016. The New Venture Fund is a major financial backer of the left’s new private election funding scheme, the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, and the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which poured nearly $37 million <[link removed]> into ballot initiatives to change state laws on everything from abortion to elections during the 2023-2024 cycle. This cannot continue.

Thankfully in the last year, five states (Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, and Wyoming) have taken the lead to enact strong election integrity legislation aimed at securing our elections—while several other states are considering similar legislation.

Ending Big Tech Censorship
Big Tech’s war on free speech cannot be ignored. Whether it’s silencing those who questioned the “official” COVID-19 narrative, covering up the Hunter Biden laptop story, or banning users with the “wrong” views on illegal immigration, the Deep State has weaponized Big Tech against conservatives.

Thankfully, President Trump’s landslide victory in November has provided an opportunity to root out the Deep State. But they can’t do it without your help.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is requesting information from the public on individual cases of censorship in an effort to finally defeat the Left’s censorship apparatus.

The FTC is seeking specific examples of politically motivated:

- Banning or shadow banning user accounts
- Deplatforming
- Banning of certain content

RESTORE-ing Family Values
One of Heritage Action’s biggest priorities is protecting family values. That’s why we are so pleased to see Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders sign the RESTORE Act into law — a bill that strengthens families and protects the dignity of every woman.

In short, the RESTORE Act champions true reproductive healthcare for women by incorporating fertility awareness-based methods into Title X programs and requiring the Department of Health to integrate information about these methods into existing public health programs.

David vs. Goliath
To cap off this week’s newsletter, we wanted to share an inspiring story of what the grassroots are capable of.

Despite being an uphill battle in a deep blue state, the Colorado grassroots have rallied together to try and put a stop to HB 1312 <[link removed]> — a disgraceful bill that would remove children from loving households if the parents do not “affirm” their
child’s gender confusion.

In response, well over 300,000 emails have been sent to Colorado legislators through our Action Center, and the fight is still on going — so be sure to share the link with friends in Colorado <[link removed]>. This is a testament to the power of the conservative movement.

A big shout out to all of you who have participated in one of our Action Centers. There will undoubtedly be many more fights to come, and the grassroots are the key to success in all of them. Thank you for all that you do to help make America a better place!
