Fighting for Justice for the D.C. Five

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and I led a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel requesting that he investigate the Biden-Harris Administration’s coverup of the aborted babies known as the D.C. Five.

Under the Biden-Harris regime and the tenure of former Director Christopher Wray, the FBI departed from its core public safety mission, suffered from senior leadership failures, and refused any real transparency or accountability for its actions. As Chairs of the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government and the Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance, Rep. Roy and I remain concerned about the Biden-Harris Administration’s refusal to investigate the circumstances of the case of the D.C. Five, whose remains were allegedly discovered at the Washington Surgi-Clinic in March 2022 by a pro-life advocacy group. 

As we continue to conduct our investigation into the District of Columbia’s enforcement of the Partial-Birth Abortion Act and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, serious questions remain surrounding the deaths of these children. We write to request that the FBI review the decision not to move forward with an investigation and the Biden-Harris regime’s apparent decision not to enforce the Partial-Birth Abortion Act and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.

President Trump’s Tariffs Will Boost the Economy and Deter Unfair Trade: Op-Ed

President Trump promised when he was campaigning for reelection in 2024 to impose tariffs. He expressed his feeling that the word “tariff” was one of the most beautiful words in the English language. He insisted that tariffs would punish United States trading partners that have been taking advantage of us and deter future unfair trade. The United States would receive increased revenue from the tariffs and better terms of trade. 

What do we see now that President Trump is in charge? Prices for oil and gas futures are coming down, meaning America is once again on its way to energy dominance. The price of commodities like eggs, which were almost $10 a dozen during the last part of the Joe Biden era, have dropped and will head back to more rational pricing very soon. And the net creation of full-time employees is increasing. Consumer confidence is returning. All indicators of economic progress.

The imposition of United States tariffs should not cause a major disruption as most nations desire trade with the U.S. In fact, more than 50 nations have already reached out hoping to resolve trade conflicts with us.

2025 Military Service Academy Conference Wrap-Up

I hosted my office’s annual Military Service Academy Conference alongside the office of Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ). Dozens of attendees were able to speak with representatives from my office as well as service academy liaisons for information about military academy nominations. I’m thankful for Rep. Eli Crane’s office and the service academy representatives who worked to make this event successful.

ONE WEEK AWAY! 2025 Drop Zone

On Saturday, May 3, my office will host our 6th annual DROP ZONE event!

Drop Zone is a one-stop resource fair for veterans, seniors, and residents of Arizona’s 5th District. Participants will have access to many valuable resources in one location: VA benefit consultations, haircuts, health screenings, Taxpayer Advocacy Services, community support organizations, employment assistance, and more!

Drop Zone will be held on May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Leadership Academy Applied Technologies Campus located at 7729 E Pecos Road, Mesa, AZ 85212.
