On Monday, U.S. Representative Stephanie Bice (R-OK) and I visited the Oklahoma State Capitol and fed State House and Senate Republicans and Democrats. Additionally, we met with members of both parties and gave updates on how our work in Washington can affect them and their constituents here at home. We stressed the importance of not listening to rumors, urged legislators to contact us should they ever need anything, and unpacked the next steps towards a rescissions package and President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.'
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the OKC Bombing, Christie and I visited with the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum's President and CEO, Kari Watkins, for a special tour of the National Memorial and Museum. If you haven’t had a chance to visit, it’s extremely moving. The memorial is a beautiful tribute to those we lost, and the museum serves as a vital learning experience for all to visit. I am grateful to Kari for her time and steadfast leadership.
On Wednesday, I joined the Edmond Chamber of Commerce for lunch to share my journey into politics and give the latest from Capitol Hill. I told them about getting fed up with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) coming down on one of my companies being my reason for running for office, why I 'love the people, love the call,' and my efforts to build relationships as a means of accomplishing all that I can for Oklahoma. I opened by telling the chamber that no one would outwork me; I execute that by meeting, fostering, and maintaining connections.
Last Friday, the University of Oklahoma claimed its seventh program title at the 2025 NCAA women's gymnastics national championships. The Sooners scored 198.0125 points, knocking off UCLA, Missouri, and Utah in the championships final to win it all! Congratulations to the university and the athletes that worked their tail off for this win. You've made the state proud.
It was such a blessing to be back in God's Country this week. I had a remarkable time traveling around Oklahoma and listening to what matters to you, getting updates on how I can better serve, and visiting with friends, both old and new. It renews my spirit to be back in the Sooner State.
It’s clear from our meetings—Oklahomans remain incredibly optimistic; they're excited about the future, hopeful for change, and see this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to Make America Great Again. In this weekly wrap up, I want to introduce you to two more members of the Mullin family, Bo and Luke.
