Hello,

The United States Post Office has existed since 1775 under postmaster general Benjamin Franklin. Currently, its over 600,000 employees are the lifeblood of America -- bringing crucial correspondence, life saving medicine, and vote-by-mail ballots to millions of Americans regardless of their geography or their income.

But now, Trump has appointed a top donor and loyalist to head the historic agency. Under Republican rule, USPS could be bankrupt by September.

It makes sense that this public service, which helps millions vote and is a lifeline for so many Americans, is a target for Republicans -- they’re worried they’ll lose the November election if ordinary Americans are able to vote by mail.

USPS has existed for almost 250 years, and Americans consistently say it’s their favorite government agency. We can’t let Republicans tear it down just so they can cheat an election.

Thank you,
The WDTO Team
