Dear Democrats,
Today marks my final day as Chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. Serving you and our state’s Democrats over the past four years has been the honor of my life.
In this role, I’ve been so lucky. I had the chance to meet President Biden at the White House, represent New Mexico at the DNC under two Chairs, and work alongside the incredible Democratic leaders we’ve elected—from the State House and Senate to the Governor’s Mansion to Congress.
But the greatest privilege wasn’t in those big, picture worthy moments—it was in the real work with you. Together, we guided DPNM through the COVID-19 pandemic and transformed it into a true organizing powerhouse. We built a statewide team of over 100 staff members, expanded our Tribal Organizing Program (launched by former Chair Deb Haaland), and brought grassroots energy to every corner of New Mexico.
The results speak for themselves:
- We flipped Congressional District 2.
-
We re-elected our all blue Congressional Delegation.
- We won every statewide race.
- We held strong majorities in the NM Legislature.
None of this would’ve been possible without your support.
Tomorrow, our State Central Committee will elect a new Chair. As we prepare for this next chapter, I want to say thank you—truly—for being by our side.
But I also want to ask one more thing of you.
Let’s send our new leaders into the fight with the strength they’ll need to win.
