As many of you know, when you make a donation to Democratic campaigns and causes (like the California Dems!) that donation is nearly always processed on ActBlue.

ActBlue is a tool that makes it easy for grassroots donors to pitch in $15 or $35 — which ultimately add up to serious cash that can take on GOP dark money and Elon’s cash.

This is how Democrats have won critical make-or-break races in the past, including part of how we flipped three seats from red to blue in California last year.

But Republicans don’t want us to be able to stand up to their dark money. They want Elon Musk to be able to write a check and buy whatever election he wants. That’s why Donald Trump just issued a new executive memorandum aimed at taking down ActBlue.

They are hoping that grassroots donors won’t be able to support Democrats anymore and that we will all just give up. As Finance Director of the California Democratic Party, that’s my worst fear. But I think we are made of sterner stuff. As these fights play out in the courts, at this critical moment, will you commit to making a donation to our Organizing Fund here in California?

Let me tell you something, John: Republicans are terrified of the grassroots machine that we’ve built. Even though Donald Trump won the Presidency last year, we flipped three seats from red to blue in California and protected *ALL* our vulnerable incumbents.

Mike Johnson is terrified that his House Majority is about to slip away, and Republicans are desperate to do ANYTHING to stop us. That’s why they are trying to go after our ability to quickly collect small, grassroots donations.

But this attack on ActBlue won’t stop us. We have a winning playbook, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure our campaigns have the resources they need to succeed.
