Job Fair: Discover Airport Opportunities
Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the sixth busiest airport in the world for aircraft movements and one of the region's largest employers.
A job fair offering hundreds of airp ort employment opportunities will take place Saturday, April 26, from 9 AM to noon at Bojangles Coliseum at 2700 E. Independence Blvd.
Charlotte Douglas employs more than 184,000 persons across North Carolina and South Carolina, a number that airport officials say will continue to grow. More than a dozen employers will be on-site, including the city of Charlotte’s Aviation Department, American Airlines, PSA Airlines, the Transportation Security Administration, plus retail and food service partners like Paradies Lagardère and HMSHost.
Open positions include full-time and part-time roles, seasonal and temporary jobs, entry-level, and management opportunities. “We constantly want to keep up with the demand as the airport grows,” Allison Mitchell, workforce development manager at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, said. “We are constantly looking for candidates that will help our operations — from construction to customer experience to our department positions. We’re really excited about the opportunities that we have.”
Job seekers are encouraged to dress in business casual attire, bring multiple copies of their resume and be prepared for on-site interviews, conditional job offers, and drug testing.
