Today, April 25, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of the famous "Meeting at the Elbe" when the Russian and American troops crossed the Elbe River at Torgau, Germany, breaking the Nazi lines after more than four years of bloody war.? The Soviet Union had lost 27 million lives, and over 400,000 Americans gave their last "measure of devotion" to defeat the Nazi scourge.
