Yesterday, the Texas Senate heard debate on SB 240, Texas Women’s Privacy Act authored by Sen. Mayes Middleton, and passed the bill to engrossment 20-11! SB 240 ensures women are safe in their bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, and domestic abuse shelters.
Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values said: “The vote today in the Senate was a landmark vote for protecting women and girls in our state. No woman should have to be forced to share a vulnerable private space with a man and be deprived of her dignity. Private spaces are separated based on sex for a reason and our state should keep it that way”.

Texas Legislature Revives Pro-life Policy and Brings it Back into Focus in 89th Session |
"The 89th Legislature has kept pro-life issues a top priority of concern. So far, the bills that have moved through the process the quickest could mean that Texas will have an effective way of protecting women from dangerous abortion drugs from online websites and city councils who want to traffic women across state lines for an abortion. Ultimately, policymakers and advocates alike can still be proud of the lives saved by laws passed in 2021, The Texas Heartbeat Act and the Human Life Protection Act."
The Society of Sebastian article by Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values, has been published in their latest newsletter, April edition. Read the full article here. |

Special Guest Terry Schilling, President of American Principles Project Discusses the Texas Women's Privacy Act with Host Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values. |
"We’ve got to save this country and we can’t save our country if we can’t even save Texas! Unfortunately our culture has gone so crazy with college indoctrinating kids and now public schools indoctrinating kids, we’ve got to lock this stuff up with actual legislation. What do we care if we have fewer blue voters here over something as harmful and devastating as giving kids sex change procedures?"
