As someone who served on active duty in the United States Air Force and spent more than 20 years in the reserves, I am infuriated by the Trump Administration and House Republicans’ attacks on our veterans and servicemembers.

The Trump Administration has fired a record number of veterans with its federal employee cuts, has fired many VA hospital employees in critical positions, and is planning to fire over 80,000 VA employees.

The Administration is not only hurting our veterans but also putting our active servicemembers in harm's way.

Top Trump Administration officials put national security at risk by using an unsecured messaging app to talk about military plans. As more details come out, it becomes even clearer that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth must be fired.

In addition to sending operational details in a chat with a journalist, Hegseth also texted sensitive information in a separate group with his wife and brother. Hegseth’s reckless and stupid actions put our troops in danger, and that is beyond unacceptable; it is disqualifying.
