Jake for Congress

Jake Rakov is running for Congress in California’s 32nd Congressional District. Our emails are the best way to stay updated on Jake’s work to stand up to Donald Trump and deliver for California families, but if you’d no longer like to hear from us, you can unsubscribe here.

Yesterday, Trump issued a presidential memorandum launching an unjustified investigation that unfairly targets ActBlue — the largest online fundraising platform used by Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, and donors.

John, this is flat out wrong. Using the federal government to target your political opponents is a pretty glaring red line. This is yet another move by the Trump administration to manipulate our elections, stymieing Democratic changemakers from soliciting the grassroots support they need to reach voters while emboldening corporate PACs and multi-millionaires to continue putting their thumb on the scale of our democratic process.

I’m running for Congress in part to call out the unfair influence of money in politics, regardless of party affiliation, and I’m telling you — this move is devastating to the millions of Americans who want to engage in the electoral process by donating what they can, when they can, to the candidates they believe best represent their ideals and interests.

But we’ve still got time to fight back, which is why I’m asking: Can you chip in what you can right now to help our campaign in our fight for grassroots democracy?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thanks for being on my team.
