Hi John,
You know that taxpayers can’t let politicians borrow money recklessly.
Every dollar that the politicians borrow today is a dollar, plus interest, that taxpayers need to pay back down the line. Government debt is just tax pushed off until tomorrow.
In the past 10 years, the federal government doubled the federal debt. A baby born today now owes the equivalent of $30,000 towards the federal debt.
Right now, interest on the federal debt already costs Canadians about $1 billion per week. That’s as much money as Ottawa collects in the GST or spends on health-care transfers to the provinces.
And taxpayers are going to have to keep fighting no matter what happens in the election.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney wants to slap Canadians with an extra $225 billion worth of government debt. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre plans on adding far less debt, but the debt would still increase by $100 billion.
Taxpayers need an army ready to fight the debt.
When you sign the PETITION, you’ll be joining the taxpayer army to fight outrageous spending and you’ll have the chance to send a message to the politician to blame.
Will you sign the PETITION?
**
We, the undersigned, call on politicians to stop racking up debt.
