Breaking news: President Trump just issued
a presidential memorandum attacking the main grassroots fundraising
platform that fuels Democratic campaigns across the country like ours.
This is an unprecedented move to silence the American people who
contribute to candidates and causes they believe in, and to silence the
President’s opponents.
It comes after the Trump administration launched similar attacks on
colleges and universities as well as law firms that were involved in legal
cases against Trump, his first administration, and his allies.
Frankly, it’s in line with what dictators in other countries do. This
political retribution is a dangerous sign of authoritarianism and cannot
be taken lightly.
Trump and his administration have made it clear through their nonstop
barrage of unconstitutional executive actions that they aren’t just coming
for some of us, but all of us.
This is an attack on our electoral system, on political dissent, and on
you.
Together, we can and must fight back.
I’ve already filed 14 lawsuits against this administration for other
illegal actions that would harm Californians and people across the
country, and I’m following this situation very closely.

Make a grassroots donation of any amount to our people-powered campaign to
ensure we have the resources needed to fight back against this and any
further attacks on our democracy.
