Reclaiming our narratives: Reproductive justice through an Afrocentric lens  

From March 24th to 29th, Sonke Gender Justice and MenEngage Africa, under the SRHR4All project, hosted the Reproductive Justice: Capacity Enhancement Programme to advance sexual and reproductive health rights and gender equality from an Afrocentric lens in Kampala, Uganda. This five-day training programme was designed to empower young advocates with knowledge, skills, and strategies to advance human rights and SRHR through a reproductive justice framework rooted in Afrocentric principles. The training brought together SRHR4All partners from Malawi, Ethiopia, and Uganda.

OSF project closeout in Cameroon on enhancing sexual reproductive health rights

MenEngage Africa and Sonke Gender Justice conducted a project closeout in Cameroon from the 21st to the 22nd of March. During this intervention, partners and community members engaged by   sharing the progress, successes, and challenges of the project during its implementation phase.

#PowerToYouth participated in the African Health Agenda International Conference from March 1st to 3rd in Kigali, Rwanda, advocating for greater impact and scaling of its work led by young people beyond the programme's timeline.

High-level meeting with the Parliamentary Health Committee addresses the future of Uganda's HIV response. 

On February 11th 2025, Straight Talk Foundation, as MenEngage Uganda Network's country secretariat, participated in a high-level engagement with Uganda's Parliamentary Committee on Health alongside the Uganda AIDS Commission, UNAIDS, and 19 other civil society organisations. The meeting aimed to present a policy brief titled "Policy Brief on the President of the United States of America's Executive Orders and Their Effects on Uganda's National HIV Response".
