The Town of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting Wednesday May 14, at 3:30PM, local time in the Pine Bluffs Town Hall, 215 Main Street, Pine Bluffs, WY 82082. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the proposed Lagoon Improvements project and funding application.
This project will see various improvements made to the existing lagoon complex operated by the Town of Pine Bluffs. Proposed upgrades are intended to augment the existing lagoon treatment process and improve the total available treatment capacity. These upgrades will ensure that the Town continues to provide adequate treatment as additional development is added through the North Wells project. Upgrades being considered under this project will include upgraded pumps at the existing North Lift station to increase transmission capacity to the lagoon system. Power will be routed to the lagoon complex through a new transmission line that will follow the existing sewage force main alignment. Specific upgrades at the lagoon complex will see baffling installed as well as surface-based aeration installed in the first cell of the lagoon.
With this application, the Town of Pine Bluffs will use funds from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI). The Town will present the project and the estimated cost. Based on the current estimates the Town of Pine Bluffs listed this project on the Fiscal Year 2026 Intended Use Plan. Subsequently the project was selected for the project priority list. This reserved funding package includes a loan of $1,900,000 at a 0.75% interest rate with principal forgiveness of $518,055 (27.266%) for a final loan amount of $1,381,945.
The average rate increase is anticipated $6.56 per month per user to repay a loan. These fees and costs were factored into April 2023 sewage rate increase; a new rate increase is projected for March 2027.
