Orbis
Captain Gary Dyson
Hi Friend,

This week, we're celebrating both World Pilot Day and Volunteer Week—and there’s no better time to spotlight one of the incredible Orbis Heroes helping us change the way the world sees: Captain Gary Dyson.

As Chief Pilot of the Flying Eye Hospital, Gary volunteers his time and expertise to fly our one-of-a-kind aircraft on life-changing projects around the world. With more than 40 projects under his belt, he's helped deliver quality eye care to communities across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

“Not only do I get to fly a one-of-a-kind airplane, I also get to see people regain their sight. It’s the most exhilarating thing you can imagine. It grabs you by the heart and you want to see it over and over again.”

You are a vital part of the Orbis team too. Your generosity helps fuel every takeoff and helps bring sight-saving care to people who need it most.

So today, we celebrate Captain Gary and all the volunteers who give their time, their talents, and their hearts. And we celebrate you—because without your support, none of this would be possible.
