Donald Trump singled out Gov. Mills in a room full of governors from both parties – and threatened to unilaterally withhold federal funding from Maine school children unless her state fell in line with his personal demands!

THEN:
A top Trump admin official called Gov. Mills a “petulant child” and Trump demanded a “full-throated apology” from her. Instead, Governor Mills filed a lawsuit against Trump and his administration to block the federal government from “illegally withholding grant funds that go to keeping children fed.”

NOW:
Gov. Mills and her administration just won in court. A federal judge has officially ordered the Trump administration to unfreeze those funds – returning school meal funding to the state of Maine.

Team, in the face of adversity, Democratic governors aren’t backing down. They’re standing strong against GOP attacks on Social Security, health care, abortion rights – and, most importantly, standing up for the American people every single day.

But they can’t do it alone.
