** Big News from SVN: New Board of Directors!
------------------------------------------------------------

** SVN Announces First Member-Elected Board
------------------------------------------------------------

This community gathered in May 2024 at the RISE conference and charted a new path forward for the Social Venture Network, with one of the core goals being to become a member-led organization. In January 2025, SVN members voted to adopt a new set of bylaws that officially made many of these goals part of how the organization is governed and operates.

We are so pleased to announce that our first election for a new Board of Directors was completed this month. Over 20 were nominated, 13 ran, and members voted in 11 to the Board who live in 3 different countries on 2 continents. We are so excited to have these exciting, skilled, and energized people to work with and on behalf of our membership to chart the course forward for SVN!

Thanks to our Governance Committee and outgoing Board of Directors for their hard work in helping us get to this point. While new processes are never without hiccups, we’ve learned a lot from them and look forward to using those learnings to improve the organization’s policies and practices!

** 4th and 5th Peer Circle Cohorts of 2025 Launched This Week
------------------------------------------------------------

As change makers, consultants, and social venture pioneers, it is sometimes hard to stay the course with the important work we do when so often we feel alone and under-resourced. Peer Circles are designed to help you dream bigger and dive deeper. This unique space fosters collaboration and support, setting aside competition to focus on genuine connection and understanding.

If you’re interested in the SVN Peer Circles program, you can apply here for the next round ([link removed]) .

** SVN’s Mutual Aid Circle is Growing
------------------------------------------------------------

SVN has created a support circle for those who are facing challenges due to the current political and economic instability. Connecting with peers for emotional, strategic, and financing support can be one of the most helpful in navigating your particular challenges in these difficult times.

The next members-only meeting of the SVN Mutual Aid Circle is Wednesday, April 30 @ 10am PT/1pm ET. All current members of SVN receive a calendar invite to this event.

** Check out the SVN Member Directory
------------------------------------------------------------

SVN members are now available to you in an online public directory ([link removed]) that encourages the community to contact or do business with our membership.

** You must be a member to participate in either the Peer Circles or the Mutual Aid Circle and be listed in the SVN Member Directory.
