In case you missed it, Rob and the state of California filed their 14th lawsuit against the Trump administration last week to stop its disastrous tariffs that would harm our economy, working families, and small businesses.

As Rob told Chris Hayes on MSNBC and Lindsey Reiser on CBS News, these tariffs caused chaos and confusion for consumers and small businesses across our state, when they deserve predictability and certainty. If Trump’s tariffs are allowed to go through, they will wreak havoc on our economy and raise the cost of living.

Not only that, but the President simply does not have the authority to issue these tariffs without Congressional approval. It’s another sign that Donald Trump thinks he’s above the law — he’s not.

As the fourth largest economy in the world, California has a lot at stake, which is why we wasted no time in becoming the first state to sue the administration over these unlawful tariffs.
