“Trump expected to target ActBlue, a major Democratic fundraising platform”
|
John – Donald Trump is panicking about his new record-low approval ratings, and now he’s trying to kneecap Democrats where it hurts.
As you read this, Trump is preparing to issue a presidential memo attacking ActBlue, the platform that powers millions of grassroots donations to Democratic campaigns across the country. It’s a blatant attempt to silence the voices of working people and give even more power and influence to his billionaire allies.
The truth is: Trump doesn’t want to run against Democrats with strong grassroots backing. He wants to rig the playing field so only the ultra-wealthy can compete. Trump sees Democrats outraising him, out-organizing him, and outmatching him — and he’s terrified.
So he’s doing what he always does: abusing power to protect himself and punish his political opponents.
John, every donation to this very email will be processed by ActBlue. And the best way to respond to Trump’s latest attack is to use the very tool he’s trying to destroy. If you want to show Trump that Democrats won’t be intimidated, I’m personally asking you to step up with a grassroots donation right now:
Thanks so much for your support. Let’s show Trump we’re not going anywhere.
