New solicitations

DES starts solicitation to replace statewide transit bus contract

DES is developing the replacement contract 04824, transit buses. This contract will succeed contract 06719 [ [link removed] ], which expires March 31, 2026.

We are looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to help us develop the new contract and share feedback. We are also looking for evaluators with expertise in transit buses to help us evaluate the bids.

DES solicits new contract for temporary healthcare staffing services

DES is soliciting new statewide contract 07125, temporary healthcare staffing services, replacing canceled statewide contract 26223.

This solicitation is for staffing in several categories, including nurses, prescribers, dental, dietetic, telehealth, pharmaceutical, laboratory/imaging, administrative, and mental and behavioral health.

DES starts solicitation for fuel contract

DES is developing a solicitation for a fuel contract (gasoline, diesel, and renewables), which will succeed statewide contract 08721, and is looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to share their experience and feedback with us. The current contract expires Dec. 31, 2026.

We are hosting a meeting for interested purchasers on May 21 at 10 a.m. Attendees will have a chance to provide feedback, learn more about the contract, the solicitation process, and how to participate. New statewide contract available for radio frequency identification solutions

DES has a new statewide contract 04618, radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions for asset tracking and library management. This contract will take effect May 1.

Contract changes

DES changes pricing for office furniture contract

DES posted updated pricing for contract 21422, office furniture and related services. The pricing structure for Haworth Inc. and Steelcase Inc. changed from hourly rates to being quoted per project. Price changes went into effect April 1 for Haworth Inc. and April 7 for Steelcase Inc.

DES assigns new contractor to fresh dairy contract

DES updated contract 02016, fresh dairy. The contract with Cart and Can LLC is now assigned to Springbrook Farms Inc. Springbrook Farms Inc. will fulfill all outstanding orders with Cart and Can LLC. The change will go into effect May 1.

DES changes pricing for environmental consulting services contract

DES posted updated pricing for contract 22222, environmental consulting services (excluding professional license work). The prices increased 2.39% as part of an automatic economic adjustment.

DES starts annual renewal process for software license

DES started the annual renewal process for contract 09112, Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software license. The current license expires June 14.

DES coordinates purchases of SAS software to receive bulk discounts for our state customers. End users may be contacted by their internal partners for any updates, if needed.

DES is seeking your feedback about a new artificial intelligence (AI) contract clauses template [ [link removed] ] posted to Washington's procurement manual. The goal of these clauses is to give guidance to state agencies when contracting for generative AI, according to Executive Order 24-01 [ [link removed] ].

As the use of AI continues to grow, DES would like feedback on the new clauses or other issues agencies experience regarding AI contract terms. Additional guidance on AI is available on the Washington Technology Solutions website [ [link removed] ].
