John,
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has led the push for universal school meals and to cancel student debt. Her efforts fed 30 million schoolchildren early in the pandemic, and led to historic student debt cancellations for more than 5 million Americans.
While she fights for Americans’ human rights like the right to food and housing, Ilhan continues to stand strong for Palestinians’ rights, including naming what’s happening in Gaza as a genocide.
Now, Ilhan is leading efforts in Congress to repeal the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, the racist law that Trump is now using to deport and imprison U.S. residents without due process. With the recent Supreme Court ruling to let Trump use this law, he’s threatening to weaponize it against U.S. citizens.
Ilhan knows what’s at stake with Trump’s mass deportation agenda. A child survivor of war who came here as a young refugee, Ilhan Omar became a U.S. citizen as a teenager. She’s Black, wears a hijab, and serves alongside me as the only Muslim women in Congress—where her lived experiences shape her much-needed advocacy for everyone’s human rights.
Because they’re threatened by Ilhan’s progressive leadership, Trump and other right-wing billionaires keep funding opponents to run against her. They’re paying attention right now as she launches her re-election campaign for next year. So we’ve got to raise a lot of money to demonstrate early support, and show the fascists and billionaires that we won’t let them win.
Will you chip in today to my and Ilhan Omar’s re-election campaigns to show that our movement for liberation won’t give into fascist fear-mongering?

Ilhan and I have passionately defended each other when I faced censure from Republican colleagues and when Republicans unjustly removed her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee—due to our advocacy for Palestinians’ human rights.
We won’t let them silence us or stop us from fighting for the rights that all of us deserve.
We’re reminding our colleagues in Congress of our shared humanity, and declaring that we and our communities belong here.
Alongside grassroots movements across the country, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and I will keep fighting back against the billionaire takeover and the fascist attempts to demonize our neighbors.
Fascists consolidate power because they know they can’t accomplish their hateful agenda democratically; they don’t have the people on their side. They want us to be afraid, but it’s time to stand up and remind them of our power. Time and again, mass movements have toppled dictators and won transformative changes to make people’s lives better.
Can you demonstrate our movement’s power by splitting a donation between my and Ilhan Omar’s re-election campaigns today? We’re building a future where all of us can thrive, not just billionaires.
Thank you for investing in a better future. Together, we’ll keep building the power we need to ensure dignity and freedom for all.
With you in the fight against fascism,
Rashida

John,
My sister in service Congresswoman Ihan Omar just launched her re-election campaign for next year. She has to start grassroots organizing efforts early because far-right billionaires keep attacking her and trying to get her out of office.
As the first two Muslim women to serve in the U.S. Congress, Ilhan and I have faced death threats and hate. Trump targeted us during his first term in office, including blocking us from traveling to Israel and Palestine.
Now, Ilhan is leading the charge against Trump’s weaponization of the Alien Enemies Act, a racist law that was used to forcibly displace and imprison over 100,000 people of Japanese descent during World War II—mostly U.S. citizens. I’m co-sponsoring Ilhan’s Neighbors Not Enemies Act, legislation to fully repeal this dangerous 1798 law as Trump threatens to deport and imprison U.S. citizens abroad. We’ll keep defending human rights.
Ilhan just kicked off her re-election campaign, so it’s important to make this week a HUGE week for fundraising. Our early support can show the far-right billionaires who are watching this campaign that Ilhan is ready to win once again.
Will you chip in today to help me and Ilhan Omar stand up to racist billionaires, push back against Trump’s fascism, and defend our rights?

For our continued leadership on Palestinian liberation, Ilhan and I have faced censure and punishment by fellow members of Congress. But we’ve had each other’s backs, and we won’t be silenced.
As a Black Muslim woman who wears a hijab and came here as a refugee, Ilhan’s lived experiences are much-needed in Congress—especially right now. She knows that each of us has dignity and worth, and that everyone deserves to thrive.
Ilhan said at a Hands Off rally recently, “We are in a fight for the kind of future we want for this country… If you believe in a country where we take care of our neighbors, look after the poor and make sure our children have a future they can believe in, we have to fight for it!”
Ilhan and I are ramping up our efforts to take on the oligarchy, including the corporations that are profiting off pollution and destruction. We will keep doing everything we can to resist Trump’s mass deportations and attacks on the working class.
We will keep demanding the bold changes our communities need, like free housing and healthcare—including through our leadership in the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
While in Congress, Ilhan has supported my legislation for workers’ rights, to end childhood poverty, and more. And I’ve supported her policies like the MEALS Act, which passed and fed 30 million schoolchildren early in the pandemic.
When she first got to Congress, Ilhan introduced the first bill to cancel student debt and pushed President Biden to ultimately deliver historic student loan debt relief that helped over 5 million Americans.
Because of her bold progressive leadership, right-wing billionaires keep trying to oust Ilhan from Congress. She has faced well-funded attacks from Republican Super PACs, people trying to dismantle public education, AIPAC, and the person financing anti-abortion Supreme Court justices’ lavish lifestyles.
Last year, in a leaked group chat of big donors who were bankrolling Ilhan’s opponent, they discussed working to elect “alt right Christian Neo Nazis.” We must fight back against this hate and fascism. Let’s have Ilhan’s back now.
Will you split a contribution between our campaigns today to fight fascism and fight for the inclusive future we all deserve, where everyone can thrive?
Thank you for rising up against the fascists and the billionaires trying to steal from working class people. As oppression hardens, so does resistance—and we will resist together.
With you in this fight,
Rashida
