[ [link removed] ]Katie Porter for Governor
Dear John,
I just read that the Trump-Vance administration is evaluating policies to
get women to have more children.
I’m a mom of three, I love kids. Let’s see what they have to say.
Their big idea? Teaching women about our menstrual cycles.
No, really.
Grown women don’t need lectures from Donald Trump or JD Vance about our
bodies. What we need are policymakers actually doing something to make it
easier and more affordable to raise a family.
It’s true that many Americans are delaying having kids or choosing not to
have them. That’s their choice, and they should be free to make that
choice. But we also know that plenty of people want to grow their
families, but they’re choosing not to because child care, housing,
healthcare, and college are all way too expensive.
If Trump and Vance are serious about helping Americans start their
families, they should be proposing policies to bring down the cost of
things like child care. Those are the biggest chunks of a family’s budget,
and Americans know it.
[ [link removed] ]We deserve leaders who understand the real challenges families face—and
have the vision and drive to deliver solutions. That’s the kind of
governor I’ll be. Will you chip in $5 to help us win this race?
Trump’s signature tariff policy is making everything more expensive for
us—from groceries to baby products.
And he and his advisors think lessons about periods are the answer?
Get real.
