Connecticut receives $5 billion in federal Medicaid funding — nearly half of all federal dollars coming into the state. The Republican budget will gut that support and force our state to either slash benefits or kick people off coverage entirely.
The GOP-passed budget instructs the Energy and Commerce Committee to make $880 billion in cuts. That includes devastating reductions to Medicaid, which helps working families, children, seniors, and people with disabilities get the care they need.
Without those federal dollars, services will close. Providers will be underpaid. And those who rely on Medicaid will be left to fend for themselves. John, will you sign the petition to stand against these devastating cuts?
